Just performed a search for Lake Norman short sales and bank owned properties in the Lake Norman MLS (13) area.
Currently this search is done by scanning the agent remarks or each MLS listing. There is a possibility for minor errors due to this type of search, however the list of homes in this category has certainly grown.
Thankfully our MLS is making some minor adjustments in the near future to allow us to have a category for these types of homes so the searches will be much more accurate. (If agents enter the information correctly).
Lastly, I have included Mountain Island Lake in the list because of it’s proximity to Lake Norman, Charlotte and it’s popularity.
Currently there are a total of 86 homes in our MLS being sold as ‘short sales’ or are currently bank owned.
Of these 86, 67 of the homes are in the Lake Norman MLS area and the remaining 20 are in the Mountain Island Lake area (42).
Prices start at $100,000 for a handy man special that needs to be completed and extend to 1,400,000.
Of the 86 homes, 16 are waterfront on Lake Norman with the prices starting at $325.000 and ending at 1,400,000. 7 of these homes are priced from 600.000 and below!!
Now may be the time to grab onto one of these opportunities. This does not include all the short sale and REO homes in the greater Charlotte area which has numbers in the hundreds.
